Paul McGirr Ulster U16 Club Champions Tournament Final

Above are photos of the Killeavy and St. Enda's Glengormley sides that are contesting the Paul McGirr Ulster U16 Club Champions tournament final this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Gardrum Park, Dromore.

St. Enda's have reached the final in impressive style have comprehensively defeated both the Down champions Bredagh in the quarter final and Tyrone champions Errigal Ciaran in the semi final and will go into the final as favourites as they attempt to emulate the feat of last years winners O'Donovan Rossa who were the first Antrim team to ever win the competition.

They will however face a very confident and capable Killeavy team some of whom are also due to compete in the St. Pauls Ulster U18 tournament later this month. It has been a wonderful year for Killeavy with their senior team having secured the Armagh Intermediate title and their youth teams winning both the Armagh 18 and U16 grade 1 titles. On their way to the final Killeavy have accounter for Cavan champions Ramor United and Derry's Slaughtneill, holding the latter to just 2 scores in the semi final.

Both teams are competing for the wonderful Cuchaillan bronze trophy that is sponsered by the Tyrone Association in Dublin, A & B Contracts and Spires Art Gallery. The days proceeding will begin at 12:00 when U12 boys and girls from the local club compete for the Charles Henry Quinn Cup.
