Commiserations to our senior men who lost out by the minimum margin 0-11 to 0-10 against Errigal Ciaran in the championship semi final last Sunday evening, a great performance by the lads who gave their all in difficult conditions just was not enough to get over the line. Many thanks to the players and management who brought pride to the parish in every performance this season.

Our U15A team had a great 2-10 to 1-10 victory after extra time in their championship semi final last Saturday against a strong Galbally team. All roads lead to Augher this Saturday at 11:00 when the boys face Moy in the championship final, best of luck to all the lads and management.

Old Time Dance led by Marie Garrity continues in St. Patrick’s Hall on Tuesday evenings please note slight change of time to 8:00 – 9:30 p.m., these classes were enjoyed by all who attended last term. Come along for plenty of dancing, tea and craic, bring a friend!

A new batch of Irish language classes are taking place on Monday evenings from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. for beginners and improvers, the classes take place in St. John’s School and cost just £3 per night, newcomers are most welcome. The Irish language conversation group continues on Sunday mornings from 11:00 – 12:00 in the Village Table.

The Torthaí Lató (lotto winning numbers) for last week (12th) were 8, 18, 22, 27, 29 and 30, there were 23 winners with 4 correct numbers each and both Myra Hunter and Kevin Conlon (Fintona) went one better with 5 correct numbers winning £125 each. Votes of sympathy were passed at the recent monthly meeting to the Corrigan, Gallagher, Quinn (Cliffoney), Lafferty (Ederney), and Gallagher (Canada) families on their recent bereavements.
