Best of luck to our senior team and management as they begin their championship campaign this Sunday in Pomeroy at 3:15 p.m. against Edendork.
Our U16’s were defeated 1-13 to 3-19 at home to Galbally last Friday while the U16 Development team finished their season with a 5-13 to 7-07 draw away to Carrickmore. This Saturday at 1:00 p.m. the U16’s travel to play Ardboe.
The Big Ridge Cycling club are having a charity cycle on Sunday 21st September along with a Tea and Coffee Morning in St. Patrick’s Hall from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., two great charities will benefit from all funds raised so we hope that they can get as much support as possible.
On Satharn 20ú Meán Fómhair (Saturday 20th September) we will be hosting One Day Irish Classes in St. John;s School from 9:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., all levels from total beginner to advanced levels are catered for, everyone welcome to come along, join the fun and learn cúpla focal. We are pleased to announce Ranganna Gaelige (Irish language classes) are starting up again on Monday 22nd September in St. John’s School and will continue every Monday, Bunrang 1 (complete beginners) is from 7:00-7:45 p.m., Bunrang 2 (beginner improvers) is from 7:45-8:30 p.m. and Meárang (intermediate) goes from 7:00-8:00 p.m., whether you are looking to improve your Irish or want to start out on your Irish language journey everyone is welcome to come along. The Ciorcal Comhrá continues every Sunday morning in The Village Table from 11am-12 noon.
The Torthaí Lató (lotto winning numbers) for last week (3rd) were 5, 6, 7, 10, 23 and 28, there were 20 winners with 4 correct numbers each. Next week’s jackpot in Ireland's biggest club is £25,000, remember you can do the lotto via tickets in all local shops or online at www.dromoregfc.com.
Votes of sympathy were passed at the recent club meeting to the Corrigan (Christina) and Winters (Paul – Drumquin) families on their recent bereavements.
